We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Test Automation Engineer to join our Cluj team.

In this role, you will be a key member of a compact squad working alongside four developers in a dual-track agile delivery model, helping ensure quality is built in from the start and continuously validated throughout delivery. You will partner closely with engineers, product, and business stakeholders to design and implement effective test automation strategies, strengthen engineering quality practices, and support the delivery of high-quality software.

We will count on you to:

• Work as part of a small squad with developers in a dual-track agile delivery environment
• Collaborate with product and engineering partners to understand business requirements and acceptance criteria
• Define and implement a test strategy with a strong shift-left approach
• Design, build, and maintain automated test coverage for integration, regression, API, UI, and data validation scenarios
• Identify areas where manual testing is still required and ensure appropriate coverage
• Partner with developers to improve code quality, unit test coverage, and acceptance criteria
• Support CI/CD quality practices and help embed testing into the delivery pipeline
• Troubleshoot test failures, investigate defects, and support root-cause analysis
• Log, track, and report defects and quality trends to the squad
• Contribute to continuous improvement in engineering and testing practices
• Work effectively in a cross-functional, agile team with shared ownership of quality

What you need to have:

• 5 +years of experience in test automation and quality assurance within agile product teams
• Strong understanding of test engineering and quality assurance best practices
• Experience with API testing and automation
• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks
• Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices
• Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with developers and product partners
• A proactive, self-starting approach and strong ownership mindset
• Experience working across a variety of technologies, languages, and platforms
• Familiarity with source control, such as GitHub

Technical skills required:

• Proficient in TypeScript and Playwright
• Strong experience with API test automation
• Familiarity with Cypress
• Experience working with MongoDB
• Good understanding of GitHub and collaborative development workflow
