Senior Superintendent – Construction
Location: Leesburg, VA office with projects in Washington, DC
Job Type: Direct Hire
Salary: Starting at $127,000, with higher compensation based on experience
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to oversee construction activities, supervise field operations, coordinate subcontractors and field forces, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in Construction Management or a similar field with 10+ years of related experience, or Journeyman status in a building trade (e.g., Carpenter) with 20+ years of progressive responsibility supervising construction.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the construction industry with a commercial and/or institutional general contractor engaged in general building and civil construction.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in government contracting preferred.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, email, and other software used in the construction industry.
- Must be able to lift and handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must be fully mobile and capable of walking job sites and climbing ladders and stairs multiple times daily to inspect work, direct subcontractors and field forces, and ensure safety and quality control.
- Must have a clean driving record to facilitate obtaining materials from suppliers when necessary.
- Current safety credentials, including:
- OSHA 30
- First Aid and CPR
- Current CQC certification issued by USACE/NAVFAC.
- U.S. citizenship required.
