The Impact You’ll Make in this Role.
As a Software Quality Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Analyzing and working with large sets of data (e.g. healthcare claims).
- Developing test cases/test datasets that meet specifications/requirements, clinical content definitions, and software design/logic implementations.
- Executing test cases (manually and automated), analyzing test case execution to identify abnormalities of execution and results, then reporting outliers and defects.
- Automating test case creation and result analysis using frameworks and scripts, documenting automation strategy and implementation, executing automation programs and scripts, and interpreting results.
- Quality Reviewing of Definition Manuals.
- Mentoring and leading quality engineer team.
- Participating in scrum team planning sessions to identify dependency chain and task breakdown, providing estimates and outlined test approaches to team.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university and Five (5) years of experience in the software industry.
OR
- High School Diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution and a minimum of nine (9) years of experience in the software industry in lieu of the bachelor’s degree education requirement.
AND
In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
- Five (5) years of experience creating software quality and/or data processing tests.
- Experience testing applications implemented using Java, SQL, and JSON technologies.
- Three (3) years of experience in test automation.
- Mentor team of Quality Engineers in day-day work.
- Drive innovative testing solutions and thought leadership on standardizing metrics.
- Experience working with an “Agile” team using Scrum Framework.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed further in this role include:
- Experience analyzing and working with large sets of data (e.g. healthcare claims, insurance claims, financial transactions, etc.).
- Five (5) years plus experience testing applications or java jars/libraries with no user interface using JSON and CSV datasets.
- Two (2) years of experience with healthcare related data (claims and billing, healthcare informatics, inpatient and outpatient data) and HIPAA requirements is desired.
- Demonstrable proficiency using automation frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, PyTest, Selenium, etc.
- Experience writing test scripts using Java, Python, and SQL is desired.
- Ability to create test preparation and impact documentation and communicate effectively in a team environment.

Travel arrangements and related expenses will be coordinated and paid for by the company in accordance with its travel policy. Applies to new hires with a start date of October 1st 2025 or later.Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $106,000 - $145,750, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
