About the Role


Join our Authentication Security team as an experienced Software Developer to design and build highly resilient authentication systems for our platform. We’re looking for a hands-on technical leader who loves building highly scalable, distributed security infrastructure.You will work closely with the team to architect and implement critical authentication standards (OIDC, SSO, SAML, FIDO), while ensuring our services remain resilient under heavy load. As a technical leader you will thrive in ambiguity, turning abstract security requirements into concrete, robust solutions. What You'll Do

  • Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the security platform in partnership with engineering and product leadership.
  • Design and build robust, high-performance services, libraries, and APIs to ensure secure and reliable authentication.
  • Develop tools to improve code reliability and streamline the adoption of our security services.
  • Leverage and champion good software design patterns and principles.
  • Collaborate closely with support and engineering teams to resolve customer issues, fix bugs, and implement new features.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team culture that fosters iteration and innovation.
  • Demonstrate excellence when working autonomously, with an understanding of when to seek support from team members.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and lead incident response for services to ensure quick service restoration during events.
  • Possess the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver high-value results.

About You


About You

Basic Qualification 

  • 7+ years of software development experience, leading technical initiatives, designing complex systems, and ensuring the scalability and maintainability of software products

  • 7+ years of experience in object oriented programming such as Java, Scala, Kotlin

  • Deep understanding of patterns for resilient services such as backpressure, idempotency, timeouts, and circuit-breaking strategies.

  • Deep expertise and experience in API Development (REST) and designing and building microservices

  • Bachelor's degree in a computer related field or equivalent work experience 

  • Strong understanding of IAM Concepts.

  • Knowledge/ experience with developing security, identity, authentication, authorization solutions and open standards such as SAML and OIDC 

Other Qualification

  • Expert knowledge of identity protocols and standards, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and SAML.

  • Knowledge of different data storage technologies, such as Redis and MySQL.

  • Working experience with source control and CI/CD tools such as Git, BitBucket, Jenkins.

  • Knowledge of Docker and container orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes.

  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.

  • Proven ability in writing technical design documents and collaborating within a software development team

  • Experience with relational database technologies (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server)

Listed below is the base salary range applicable to this position. Workday pay ranges (and the precise pay offered to the successful candidate) are based on a number of objective criteria such as relevant experience and skills, and educational qualifications, level of responsibility, demands of the role, work location and business need. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants awarded by Workday Inc. Primary Location Base Pay Range: €86,400 EUR - €129,600 EUR Ireland
