Senior Mechanical Engineer, Building Services

Join our Tauranga Building Services team and play a key role in delivering HVAC solutions across healthcare, education, commercial, industrial and community projects throughout the Bay of Plenty and beyond.

You'll lead mechanical design from concept through to construction, delivering high-quality outcomes while working closely with clients to understand their needs, build trusted relationships, and identify opportunities to add value.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll provide technical leadership across projects, mentor and support developing engineers, and contribute to the continued growth and success of our Tauranga Building Services team.

Ko wai koe | About you

You're an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong foundation in HVAC design and experience delivering projects from concept through to completion, ideally within a consulting environment.

You hold a relevant tertiary qualification and bring well-developed expertise in applying engineering principles to deliver practical, high-quality outcomes.

You'll bring significant experience delivering HVAC and building services projects and be confident leading design delivery, coordinating project teams, and building trusted client relationships.

You're comfortable taking responsibility for your work while supporting others to succeed, and you enjoy mentoring developing engineers and sharing your knowledge with those around you.

You can manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively with clients and project teams, and apply sound judgement to achieve successful project outcomes.

You bring familiarity with tools such as Revit, IES, or similar, along with knowledge of relevant standards including ASHRAE and CIBSE, and experience applying New Zealand building codes and standards. You're either Chartered, or working towards chartership, and take a practical, solutions-focused approach.
