About the role
We are creating a new role that is perfect for anyone that wants to be at the forefront of brand building in digital media. In our partnership with Google, MFG is looking to create a new model for how we build brands, where we automate and offshore as much of the basics as we can to allow us to be more creative and innovative with our campaigns = Planning Away from the Average. We need someone that can work closely with our Google partners and help lead and manage the creation, planning and implementation of initiatives, products, and work streams that all ladder up to this overall goal. These initiatives will include the development of new tools, processes and technology solutions. This role has an APAC remit as part of the Central Brand Planning team and reporting into an Associate Planning Director.
Most importantly, this role will need to work closely with senior Google clients and interact with local market teams, assuring implementation of workstreams is done in-line with expectations, accurately and on time. This exciting opportunity strives to elevate our thinking beyond daily campaign deliverables, expose you to media and marketing behaviors in other markets, and activate your curiosity to create what’s next in media. In addition, this role will help shape the conversation of how Google Marketing and MFG shape the future of media. Furthermore, it is very likely that this role will be one that requires trade press exposure so frequent articles, think pieces and interviews alongside Googlers will likely be required.
Some of the things we’d like you to do:
- Develop further MFG’s work with Google around making Brand planning more data-led in terms of channels and creative used so that more elements of every campaign achieve brand success KPIs.
- Build on work already done in the area of automated Brand campaign and workstream governance so that the process from reports and analyses can be more easily accessible and actionable.
- Develop and maintain robust governance frameworks for regional media campaigns, ensuring data integrity, process consistency, process optimization, and high-quality campaign tracking across all local market teams.
- Facilitate cross-regional learning and best practice sharing by auditing campaign compliance and performance, while guiding internal teams through standardized operational workflows and regional planning standards.
- Lead investment insights reporting consolidation and insights, driving ongoing training and support for local markets to enhance planning efficiency, troubleshoot workflow bottlenecks, and elevate regional media excellence.
- Continuously streamline and improve existing processes and operationalize workstreams for greater efficiency.
- Partners with Global, regional, and local MFG teams to create and document consistent approach to Brand Planning across the region.
- Take MFG's approach to Brand Planning and make it a modularized set of products that can be marketed by MFG and through Google's ad sales team to help enhance other advertisers use of the Google's Stack.
A bit about yourself:
- 5+ years’ experience in an agency, publisher, or marketing environment.
- A proven track record in defining brand media strategies and plans, and leading media teams for large international clients.
- Deep brand marketing expertise.
- Proven success in media planning, process design, implementation, and enhancement.
- Powerful POV on planning and measurement tools (GWI, TGI, Campaign Manager etc).
- Ability to form well-supported perspectives and opinions independently.
- Very strong client relationship skills
- Effective and engaging written communication, presentation, influencing and negotiation skills
- Ability to make strategic decisions and resolve problems quickly and effectively.
- Passionate about digital and data, and well versed on the latest industry trends and news.
- Hands-on activation experience with media platforms is a plus.
