We are seeking an experiencedย Senior Accountantย to oversee financial operations, reporting, and compliance for a fast-paced healthcare organization. This role is ideal for accounting professionals with strong expertise in financial statement preparation, general ledger management, and statutory compliance, along with proven leadership experience in managing accounting functions.
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining robust internal controls, and supporting business decision-making through timely financial analysis. Working closely with management, auditors, and cross-functional teams, you will drive efficient accounting processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to the organization's overall financial stability and operational excellence.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and finalize Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss statements, and other financial reports in accordance with accounting standards.
- Manage end-to-end accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and cash flow management.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Perform bank, vendor, and ledger reconciliations while resolving discrepancies efficiently.
- Prepare MIS reports, financial analysis, and performance insights to support management decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, taxation requirements, and audit processes.
- Maintain accurate financial records and implement strong internal controls to safeguard organizational assets.
- Collaborate with auditors, finance teams, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Monitor accounting processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Mentor and guide junior accounting professionals while supporting continuous process improvements within the finance function.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- 4+ years of professional accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial or team leadership role.
- Strong expertise in Balance Sheet finalization, Financial Statement preparation, and Profit & Loss (P&L) reporting.
- Solid understanding of General Ledger management, bookkeeping, reconciliations, taxation, and financial reporting.
- Experience managing Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), cash flow, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
- Knowledge of statutory compliance, audit coordination, and internal financial controls.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/accounting software for financial management and reporting.
- Experience in the healthcare or medical industry will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial planning capabilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across finance and business teams.
- Self-driven, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities while delivering accurate and timely financial outcomes.
