About the Role

This role sits within Macmillan Education, which operates as one of the key businesses under Springer Nature. As a Sales Representative at Macmillan Education, you will play a central role in promoting our publishing list, strengthening relationships with key partners, and driving sales growth in your assigned territory. You will be directly involved in maximizing the promotion of Macmillan ELT list in the region.

Please note that this position is fully remote with extensive travel within the assigned territory in Slovakia.

Role Responsibilities: 

  • Organize, carry out and report on an extensive programme of visits to all types of schools and distribution partners in the territory.
  • Maintain contact with the existing clients to support them in post-sales period.
  • Organize, attend and report on relevant exhibitions, seminars and conferences in the territory.
  • Give such seminars personally where appropriate.
  • Supply the relevant market feedback coming from the visits and contacts.
  • Update the customer database regularly and accurately.
  • Assist all the marketing and publishing projects as requested by the supervisor.
  • Handle all queries and correspondence received from educational institutions and teachers in the territory.
  • Assist in any other promotional work as required by the supervisors in the territory.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications: 

Essential 

  • Fluency in English (C1) and Slovak is a must.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliability in meeting deadlines and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory (valid driving license required).

Desirable

  • A degree (or equivalent) in Education, Languages, or a related field is a bonus.
  •  Experience in English Language Teaching (ELT) or the publishing/education sector.
  • Sales experience.
