The opportunity

We're looking for a Risk & Compliance Business Partner to join our Line 2 Risk & Compliance team.

In this role, you'll partner closely with leaders across Customer Operations, providing independent oversight, guidance and challenge across a broad range of operational risk and compliance matters.

While the initial focus will be supporting Investment Operations, Managed Accounts and Superannuation Administration, you'll also play an important role in supporting the wider Customer Operations function.

This is an opportunity to join a function that is continuing to evolve and mature. In the short term, you'll help the business manage incidents, breaches, remediation activities and operational risk matters, while over time contributing to the uplift of capability, controls and risk management practices across the business.

We're looking for someone who can balance strong risk oversight with practical commercial outcomes and build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

What you’ll be doing

  • Act as a trusted Line 2 Risk & Compliance Business Partner supporting Customer Operations across a broad range of operational risk and compliance matters.

  • Provide independent advice, oversight and constructive challenge to support sound risk management and decision making.

  • Partner with leaders to identify, assess and manage operational risks, incidents, breaches and remediation activities.

  • Lead and support risk assessments, assurance reviews and ongoing monitoring of compliance obligations.

  • Prepare clear and practical risk insights for leaders, committees and governance forums.

  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of risk frameworks, controls, governance practices and the broader Line 2 operating model.

About you

You’re a confident and pragmatic risk professional who understands how to balance strong oversight with meaningful business partnership. You’re comfortable navigating complex regulatory environments and translating requirements into practical outcomes that support the business.

You enjoy working across multiple stakeholders, managing competing priorities and making a tangible impact in a fast‑growing organisation.

Experience & qualifications

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in Risk & Compliance, Operational Risk, Compliance Advisory or Business Partnering roles within financial services.

  • Experience operating in a Line 2 Risk & Compliance environment, or in a 1.5-line advisory, risk or compliance partnering role with demonstrated capability and readiness to transition into a Line 2 position.

  • Strong expertise in incident management, breach management, remediation and risk oversight activities.

  • Ability to provide independent challenge while building trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Solid understanding of risk and compliance frameworks and their practical application within complex organisations.

  • Experience supporting or partnering with investment operations, managed accounts, superannuation administration, custody or platform operations environments, including exposure to back office processes such as corporate actions, reconciliations, asset administration or trade operations, will be highly regarded.
