About the role

As a Raw Material Metals, you will play a critical role in ensuring the uninterrupted flow of raw materials to support manufacturing operations. You will proactively monitor supply risks, collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams, and implement solutions that ensure on-time delivery while preventing material shortages that could impact production.

Key Responsibilities

As a Raw Material Metals, you'll be responsible for:

  • Manage daily delivery assurance activities to support manufacturing continuity.

  • Coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery of raw materials and resolve shipment issues.

  • Identify potential material shortages, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to minimize supply disruptions.

  • Monitor forecasts, production requirements, and inventory levels to anticipate material demand and ensure supply availability.

  • Drive process improvements that enhance supplier performance, delivery assurance, and overall supply chain efficiency.

Requirements

We are looking for people who are proactive, analytical, collaborative, results-driven, and strong problem solvers. If this is you, get in touch.

As a minimum you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Logistics, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Delivery Assurance, Materials Planning, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related manufacturing environment.

  • Experience managing supplier performance, material shortages, and on-time delivery.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret forecasts, production plans, and material requirements.

  • Experience working with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel in a manufacturing environment.

Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

  • Experience with raw materials, preferably metals or steel.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and logistics.

  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
