Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the preparation of the annual program of internal audit of quality management system, receiving, managing and disseminating the results, in order to verify conformity with the requirements of the reference standards.
  • Participate in reviews of manuals, standards and quality management policies in the various areas of the company.
  • Program activities along the external auditors and/or participate in internal audits, certification and auditing in products, processes, quality management policies, etc. following the execution of the work, in order to receive, manage and disseminate the results of the audit. Participate in the preparation and implementation of management systems and in the preparation of the normative documents (standards, technical standards, procedures, etc.), including documents relating to the process of management structure, through studies and analysis of information.
  • Reads prints, sketches, and specifications.
  • Uses magnifiers, electronic instruments, micrometers, snap gauges, and special fixtures and verifies calibration against standards.
  • Inspects a series of attributes and specifications.
  • Sorts materials and/or marks defects for repairs.
  • Inspections may require measurement to close tolerance requiring sensitive touch or judgment.
  • Conducts receiving inspection of raw materials. Certifies raw materials via documented testing methodology.
  • Records results and conformance to acceptance plans.
  • Enters data on control charts and notifies others of out-of-specification conditions.
  • Investigate cause of customer complaints, returns, and internal failures to determine root cause of failures.
  • Identify internal failures and implement variances for approvals/rejections.
  • Implement corrective/preventative actions for continuous improvements of processes and production.
  • Submit ECO’s as needed for parts or processes.
  • Test and inspect parts and processes and keep accurate records.
  • Brainstorm ideas and improvements with engineers, production associates, coordinators, and managers for continuous improvements.
  • Maintain reports and databases as necessary to keep accurate quality records.
  • Fill in for Quality Auditors on the production floor as needed.
  • Follow safety procedures and use PPE for all aspects of job
  • Must be able to work extended hours when required
  • All other duties as assigned
  • These responsibilities may change in the future to keep up with customer demands, equipment changes and improved Standard Operating Procedures
     

Required Skills/Abilities:
•    Ability to follow written instructions.
•    Ability to follow proper safety protocols.
•    Ability to determine whether machinery is working properly based on specifications for expectations such as fixtures, cutting speeds, or feed rates.
•    Good verbal and written communication skills.
•    Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions.
•    Ability to work in a variety of roles.
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills
•    Basic math skills
•    Highly motivated

Education and Experience:
•    High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational school diploma highly preferred.
•    Job training for this position is provided

Requirements:
•    Must be able to work in noisy environments.
•    Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required
•    Ability to bend, stoop, walk, twist, lift, stand, push and pull material

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Must be able to use tape measure, digital calipers and various measurement equipment
  • Any training in ISO/QS systems a plus.
  • At least one year of experience working in the quality field.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Ability to work with all people in a production environment.
