About The Role
The Purchasing Analyst Lead supports the Purchasing Manager by providing day-to-day leadership and oversight of the Purchasing Analyst and Invoice Reconciliation team. This role is responsible for supervising analyst execution, ensuring accuracy and consistency of purchasing deliverables, reinforcing purchasing processes, and serving as a primary escalation point for analysts and invoice reconciliation. This role will involve delegating of strategic tasks, including but not limited to: managing pricing agreements, performing detailed cost and data analysis, tracking and validating rebate payments, and resolving invoice and statement discrepancies.
What You’ll Do
- Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, and mentorship to Purchasing Analysts and Invoice Reconciliation Specialists.
- Conduct detailed analyses of pricing, vendor performance, and market trends. Create sophisticated comparative matrices and actionable insights to inform high-level decision-making.
- Track, analyze, and report on rebate payments, maintaining comprehensive payment trackers to optimize financial benefits.
- Manage and approve complex subcontractor/vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project goals. Collaborate cross-functionally to address discrepancies and ensure financial accuracy.
- Ensure timely resolution of account discrepancies and consistent delivery of required documentation.
- Partner with Accounts Payable and other departments to facilitate seamless invoice approvals and resolve financial inconsistencies.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to construction personnel, ensuring adherence to purchasing procedures and fostering alignment across departments.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- 1 year of Purchasing, Options, or Estimating experience preferred.
- Experience with MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
