Ko Wai Mātou – About Us

Kia ora. We’re Foodies. You know New World, PAK’nSAVE, Gilmours and Four Square right? That’s us!

With 320+ stores and over 24,000 Foodies across Te Ika-a-Maui, our North Island Co-op has the privilege of helping New Zealanders get more out of life.

Our Merchandise team works with supplier partners and store teams on category ranging, buying, pricing and promotions so we can get the right products on the right shelves at the right time for our customers!

Te Tūranga – About The Role

We’re looking for an organised, proactive and detail-driven Promotions Analyst to join our Merchandise Team.  In this role, you’ll help ensure promotional activity is well planned, clearly communicated and consistently executed — supporting stronger promotional performance, smoother ways of working, and better outcomes for our stores, customers and supplier partners.

If you thrive in a fastpaced environment, enjoy managing multiple workstreams, and love bringing clarity and coordination to complex promotional cycles, this could be the perfect role for you!

Key responsibilities include the following:

  • Coordinate weekly promotional planning, execution, and reporting across promotional display programmes and related promotional activity.

  • Manage multiple promotional workstreams, balancing planned activity with urgent or unplanned requests in a fast-paced retail environment.

  • Ensure promotional information, competitor checks, and performance reporting are accurate, timely, and ready for stores and internal teams.

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with Category teams, Marketing, Retail Operations, and Store Owners to keep promotional activity aligned.

  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise, improve, and automate promotional processes, reporting, and communications.

  •  Support continuity across the Promotions team, providing cover during leave and contributing to adhoc analysis, reporting, and project work.

He Kōrero Mōu - About You

You’re adaptable, comfortable juggling competing priorities, and able to shift gears quickly when plans change. You don’t just identify problems — you’re a solutionfinder who uses logic, curiosity, and strong operational understanding to keep things on track.

You’re confident working with systems and data, and ideally bring experience with SAP, Power BI and Excel, using them daily to support decisions, accuracy and visibility. You can communicate clearly, whether presenting information verbally or through wellstructured visual summaries.

Experience in Retail, FMCG or Supermarkets is a huge advantage — and if you’ve worked in store or with Foodstuffs members, even better. You understand how promotions land in the real world and what it takes to make them successful.

You may be early in your career, but you’re hungry to learn, eager to take ownership, and motivated by the challenge of a role that’s highly operational and businesscritical. You bring energy, resilience, and a cando attitude to every task.
