Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized individual to join our Project Management Office as a Project Coordinator, specifically in support of our Government sector work. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting project managers and teams in the successful planning, execution, and completion of projects. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for managing administrative tasks, facilitating communication, coordinating project activities and resources, tracking progress, and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic professional to contribute to the success of our organization's projects.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Scheduling:
Assist in developing project plans, timelines, and schedules and track project progress.
Work closely with project managers to ensure project activities align with established timelines.
Assist in tracking project budgets and expenditures.
Monitor resource availability and allocation.
Monitor project deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards.
Communication and Coordination:
Facilitate communication between project team members and stakeholders.
Schedule and coordinate project meetings, including agendas and minutes. Participate in project meetings and capture key decisions and action items. Follow-up on tasks as needed.
Collaborate with team members to resolve resource conflicts and constraints.
Build strong relationships with team members and external partners.
Proactively identify and address any potential roadblocks.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes, project charters, and status reports.
Maintain project communication logs and records.
Generate and distribute regular project status reports to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, project management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a project coordinator or in a similar role.
Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills.
Proficiency in project management tools and software.
Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with excellent problem-solving skills.
Adaptable and flexible to changing project requirements.
