LOCATION: Portsmouth (with some hybrid working available subject to our Hybrid Working Policy)
TYPE: Full time - 37 Hours

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for an enthusiastic, technically knowledgeable Project Manager to join our team in Portsmouth to drive the end-to-end development of next-generation, secure communications infrastructure and software.
Reporting directly to the Programme Manager, this is a key role in a challenging, rapidly changing environment where you will lead complex R&D projects from inception to completion.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
Lead the Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring & Controlling, and Closing of projects developing complex secure communications infrastructure, software, and services.
Manage complex development projects strictly in accordance with Airbus project lifecycle standards.
Apply core project management methods and processes effectively within a dynamic R&D environment.
Leverage excellent communication and leadership skills to steer projects through a rapidly changing landscape and ensure successful delivery.
ABOUT YOU
Experienced with full project lifecycle management—from initial proposal through to final customer acceptance.
Strong technical background in telecommunications or satellite communications systems, software, or equipment development (preferably for defence applications).
Relevant practical experience managing AGILE software development projects.
Familiar with Project Management Institute (PMI) lifecycle guidance, which forms the basis of Airbus standards.
