About this Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift role at Thales
Position Summary
This is an on-site position in Chanhassen, MN
Meets production requirements by upholding all safety requirements; organizing work; resolving operational problems; developing staff. Works in accordance with written work procedures to produce quality product. Obtain and sustain accountability within your staff and operations.
Key Areas Of Responsibility
Uphold all safety requirements. Organizes work by reviewing production plan requirements; preparing changeover.
Obtains materials and supplies by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt. Meets production requirements by following and enforcing productivity, quality, cost, and customer-service standards; resolving operational problems.
Improves quality results by identifying process improvement opportunities; implementing changes. Develops human resources by orienting, training, coaching, and disciplining employees; enforcing human resource policies and procedures.
Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. Accomplishes production and quality policy by completing related results as needed. 6s ownership and leadership.
Be a liaison between employees and senior management, providing daily performance updates, and communicating goals, results and operational observations.
Minimum Qualifications
3 year Supervision and Coaching experience.
High school diploma or GED equivalency required.
3 year of experience in Process Improvement and Developing Standards.
3 year of experience in Production Planning / Manufacturing Control Planning.
3 year of experience in Manufacturing Methods and Procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
Manufacturing Experience
Pressing / Printing Manufacturing Experience
Ability to Lead Teams
knowledge of 6S programs, lean manufacturing and visual factory operations
6S and lean manufacturing knowledge.
Experience with an MRP/ERP System
Special Position Requirements
8 Hour shift(s): 2:00pm-10:30pm
Traditional five-day workweek (M-F)
Occasional overtime may be required
Standing or sitting for long periods of time
Lifting up to 40 pounds with a pushing and pulling motion on an intermittent basis

The reference Total Target Compensation (TTC) market range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target, is between
Total Target Cash (TTC) 66,756.38 - 111,260.63 USD Annual
