Ideal candidate will posses 5-6years of relevant experience and will be responsible for engineering and technical requirements of production operations for a business unit. This includes tooling, process engineering, production sequence, the solution of critical manufacturing engineering problems, the analysis of methods to reduce operating time and cost, and optimizing product design for purposes of manufacturing.

Responsibilities: - Responsible for managing multiple production lines (Cutting, Assembly, Encapsulation lines)

1. Production Planning & Execution

·       Execute daily and monthly production plans to meet customer demand.

·       Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, and materials.

·       Monitor production output, cycle time, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

·       Coordinate with Planning and Stores to ensure uninterrupted material availability.

·       Minimize downtime and ensure smooth shift operations.

2. Process Control & Improvement

·       Standardize manufacturing processes and update SOPs and work instructions.

·       Identify bottlenecks and implement productivity improvement initiatives.

·       Reduce scrap, rework, and process variation through root cause analysis.

·       Lead Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S activities on the shop floor.

3. Quality Assurance

·       Ensure products comply with quality specifications and control plans.

·       Support investigation of customer complaints and internal quality issues.

·       Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

·       Coordinate with Quality for process audits and validation activities.

4. Machine & Equipment Coordination

·       Work closely with Maintenance to minimize equipment breakdowns.

·       Participate in preventive and predictive maintenance planning.

·       Support installation, commissioning, and qualification of new machines.

5. Safety & Compliance

·       Ensure adherence to EHS standards, PPE usage, and LOTO procedures.

·       Conduct safety observations and participate in incident investigations.

·       Maintain compliance with ISO, statutory, and customer requirements.

6. Team Management

·       Supervise operators and technicians during shifts.

·       Conduct skill development and on-the-job training.

·       Monitor attendance, discipline, and workforce productivity.

·       Drive employee engagement and continuous improvement culture.

Production Monitoring & Reporting

·       Track daily production performance and prepare production reports.

·       Monitor key manufacturing KPIs such as OEE, Productivity, Yield, Rejection, Scrap, and Downtime.

·       Analyze production data and recommend improvement actions.

·       Present production performance updates to management.

New Product & Project Support

·       Support new product development and product transfer activities.

·       Participate in trial runs, process validation, and production ramp-up.

·       Assist in implementation of capital projects and new equipment installations.

 

Skills

Education & Experience - Bachelor's in Engineering with 5-6years of experience or Diploma in mechanical engineering with 6-7years of manufacturing experience.
