Location: Reading 

Travel %: Limited travel may be required. 

The Product Lifecycle Manager is responsible for managing the supply chain execution of product lifecycle activities across Northern Europe, including innovation, existing product changes, regulatory initiatives and product discontinuations. The role manages multiple projects and stakeholders, translating commercial and marketing plans into coordinated supply chain activities. You will maintain visibility of supply chain milestones, dependencies and readiness, proactively identifying risks and developing mitigation plans to support successful, on-time delivery. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage the end-to-end supply chain execution of product lifecycle activities across Northern Europe, including innovation, product changes, regulatory initiatives and discontinuations. 

  • Develop and maintain integrated supply chain project plans, ensuring key milestones, dependencies, decisions and deliverables are clearly defined, owned and tracked through to completion. 

  • Provide clear, timely reporting on overall project progress, supply chain readiness, risks, issues and required actions to stakeholders. 

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics, Master Data, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing and Commercial functions to support successful execution. 

  • Translate commercial and marketing plans into executable supply chain requirements, aligning forecasts, inventory, capacity, materials, product data and market readiness. 

  • Monitor demand, inventory, capacity, materials and supply plans to identify risks to launch readiness, product changes, discontinuations or continuity of supply. 

  • Proactively identify, escalate and resolve supply chain risks and issues, coordinating mitigation and contingency plans to protect delivery, service and inventory objectives. 

  • Lead and support the Master Data Coordinator, ensuring product data activities are completed accurately and in line with supply chain and project milestones. 

  • Drive continuous improvement in product lifecycle governance, supply chain execution, status reporting and ways of working. 

What we are looking for 

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain Management, Business, Project Management, Operations or a related discipline. 

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in supply chain, product lifecycle management, project management or a related operational environment. 

  • Proven experience managing multiple cross-functional supply chain projects, with responsibility for project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks and status reporting. 

  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including demand and supply planning, inventory management, manufacturing, logistics and product launch readiness. 

  • Strong practical knowledge of GS1 standards and their application across the product lifecycle, including the ability to interpret requirements and translate them accurately into product master data within SAP or similar enterprise systems. 

  • Experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders across Supply Chain, Marketing, Commercial, Regulatory, Quality and Master Data functions. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify risks and translate insights into practical actions. 

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise competing activities, manage ambiguity and deliver to agreed timelines within a matrix organisation. 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, with experience using supply chain planning and reporting tools. 

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence decisions and escalate issues effectively. 

Desired Qualifications 

  • PRINCE 2 qualification or equivalent 

  • GS1 certification or equivalent 

  • SAP practical knowledge or similar planning tool 

  • Experience using product lifecycle, project portfolio or supply chain planning and reporting tools. 

  • Advanced Excel and data analysis capability, including experience developing project dashboards and status reporting. 

  • Experience supporting product launches, product changes, regulatory initiatives or discontinuations within a consumer goods, healthcare or similarly regulated environment. 

  • Knowledge of integrated business planning, sales and operations planning, demand planning or supply planning processes. 

  • Experience managing product master data and supply chain processes within SAP in a complex, multi-market organisation. 

  • Project management qualification or practical knowledge of structured project management methodologies. 

  • People management, coaching or mentoring experience. 

  • Demonstrated ability to improve supply chain processes, governance and ways of working. 

  • Interest in applying emerging technologies, automation and sustainability principles to product lifecycle and supply chain activities.
