The Press & Community Coordinator supports the delivery of Tekla's global press and community activity, working within Tekla's Brand & Marketing team to ensure communications operations run with precision, creativity and care.

Reporting to the Senior Press & Community Manager, the role coordinates agencies and consultants across key markets, maintains a direct press presence in additional territories, and supports the activations and community relationships that matter to Tekla's world, executing with confidence in line with Tekla's playbook.

Key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

Press & Communications

  • Build and maintain the infrastructure that supports Tekla's external PR agencies and consultants across priority markets, managing asset delivery, timelines, media target lists and gifting lists so that they can operate with speed and precision.
  • Maintain a responsive press presence across assigned markets, with scope to take on more proactive pitching as Tekla's market structure evolves.
  • Oversee sample request prioritisation and inventory planning in line with campaign timing, with day-to-day fulfilment coordinated by the Brand & Marketing Assistant.
  • Act as the day-to-day point of contact for partners on operational queries, managing press inbox and email correspondence, escalating as needed.
  • Own the press and community contacts database, identifying and prioritising key relationships, and directing the Brand & Marketing Assistant on contact list maintenance and updates.

Events & Activations

  • Work with the wider Brand & Marketing team to translate activation strategy into an executional plan for press and community-specific activations.
  • Support the planning and logistics around guest experience, from guest list management, RSVP coordination, and briefing on press collateral, through to liaising with agencies and on-site delivery and set-up.
  • Support the hosting of press & community events, ensuring every guest interaction reflects the Tekla brand with ease and distinction.
  • Act as the lead point of contact for the Copenhagen store on press and community activity, confidently hosting one-to-one press and community appointments in-store.

Community & Seeding

  • Manage Tekla's seeding programme across ad-hoc, press and campaign-specific activity, forecasting monthly needs against budget and working with the Brand & Marketing Assistant to oversee product selection, shipping and list management across priority markets.
  • Research and identify new community contacts, cultural voices and potential partners relevant to the Tekla world, with an emphasis on global voices in the interiors space.

Reporting

  • Own day-to-day reporting, maintaining accurate and up-to-date tracking across press and community activity.
  • Support the development and maintenance of internal systems, databases and workflows across the Press & Community function.
  • Assist with the preparation of presentations, documents and communications materials for internal and external use.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • Three to four years of experience in PR, communications or agency account management, ideally within fashion, design, lifestyle or culture.
  • A deep appreciation for design, craft and the Tekla brand.
  • Experience managing or coordinating external agencies or consultants, with a clear sense of when to resolve issues directly and when to escalate.
  • Comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy and taking clear ownership of press, community and activation workstreams.
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple external relationships and workstreams simultaneously.
  • A confident and considered communicator with a strong editorial instinct and an eye for the right story and the right publication.
  • A keen reader of press and editorial, equally fluent in traditional publications and the newer landscape of newsletters, Substack and independent voices, with an instinct for where cultural credibility is shifting between the two.
  • Genuinely curious and culturally engaged, actively following the people, publications and conversations that matter to the Tekla world, with a particular interest in the UK, US and France interiors space.
  • Naturally relationship-oriented: great communications is built on trust and genuine connection.
  • Additional languages are an asset.
