Position Summary:

We are seeking a hardworking and reliable laborer to join our team, specializing in underground plumbing replacement for residential properties. This role requires physical strength, attention to safety, and the ability to work efficiently alongside an excavation team. The ideal candidate will have experience in hand excavation, using jackhammers, and assisting with heavy machinery operations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform necessary concrete removal in necessary areas and reinstall concrete as required. 
• Perform hand excavation and trenching for underground plumbing replacement.
• Operate jackhammers and other power tools safely and efficiently.
• Assist excavator operators with ground labor, including clearing debris and preparing work areas.
• Backfill and compact trenches after pipe installation.
• Load and unload materials and equipment as needed.
• Ensure worksite cleanliness and organization throughout the job.
• Follow safety protocols and always wear proper protective equipment.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in underground plumbing, construction, or excavation preferred.
• Ability to operate jackhammers and other hand tools safely.
• Comfortable performing physical labor in various weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic, dependability, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift 80+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.

• Pass a drug test & background check.
• Must understand English in a competent manner in order to clearly communicate questions, instructions or safety concerns to coworkers and supervisor.
• A valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
• Ability to perform multiple technical tasks to include operating equipment, adhering to safety practices, and planning/managing difficult tasks.
• Local building codes and safety regulations.
• Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team.
• Physical fitness and the ability to work in various conditions, including tight spaces, heights and hot and cold temperatures.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends.
