We have an opportunity for an exceptional People & Culture Business Partner to partner with our Auckland leaders at Grant Thornton, creating value for our people by providing specialist HR & ER advice, guidance, and people insights across all aspects of the employee lifecycle.

What you will be doing | He aha āu mahi

As a People & Culture Business Partner, you will provide support and advice to senior leaders on a range of people and culture-related matters. You will be joining a high performing People & Culture team, who pride themselves on being supportive, responsive, and collaborative. Reporting to the National People & Culture Manager (based in Wellington), this role will provide you with exposure to a wide variety of work and opportunities to lead and deliver on our strategic initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing sound practical and forward-thinking People & Culture advice and guidance to people leaders
  • Coaching managers on all manner of ER matters
  • Creating strong relationships within the Auckland business portfolio
  • Leading and owning People & Culture projects, and people focused initiatives, while managing a generalist portfolio
  • Collaborating with the wider People & Culture team to successfully deliver on our strategic pillar of delivering an outstanding people experience

Requirements

About You l Mōu

We are looking for an experienced People & Culture Business Partner who thrives working in a constantly evolving environment, and who can effectively engage and manage expectations of senior leaders in a fast-paced workplace.

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • A collaborative approach and the ability to influence positive change
  • Experience in a broad People & Culture role, with confidence supporting leaders across a range of employee lifecycle matters
  • Sound knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation, along with practical experience in employee relations, performance, remuneration, and generalist HR matters
  • Natural relationship-building skills that enable you to quickly establish credibility, influence outcomes, and work proactively
  • Experience coaching leaders and supporting them to navigate people matters with confidence and care
  • Professional services experience would be helpful but is not essential
