The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Packaging Engineer you will have the opportunity to develop packaging solutions which ensures patient safety, enhances customer experience, protects products, and optimizes operations.

How you will make an impact

•    Researching and selecting the most appropriate and efficient product packaging solutions for new product launches
•    Modifying and improving existing packaging designs, processes and/or methods for improved customer satisfaction, quality improvement, sustainability and/or operational improvements
•    Following prescribed federal and international regulatory requirements related to sterile barrier packaging
•    Provide corporate packaging solutions representation on task forces and long term development teams for next generation products and packages
•    Assists division engineering and other clients in the selection, qualification, and installation of package equipment 
•    Evaluate suppliers of packaging materials and/or contract packagers to train, guide, and improve the manufacturability of package designs in accordance with specifications and processes. 

Your Skills and Expertise  

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
•    Experience in a private, public, government or military environment 

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
•    Thorough knowledge of theories and practices, typically applied to one or more disciplines within Package Engineering organizational areas such Client Services, Continuous Improvement, Systems, Quality, Regulatory Affairs Management Center (RAMC), Graphics Design, etc.
•    Thorough knowledge of assigned area of responsibility, general Solventum structure, organization, and business. Applies knowledge of the business to align with business needs and goals. 

Work location: 
•    Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Jarinu, Brazil at least 3 days per week)
•    Travel: May include up to 10% domestic &international
