Summary:
As a Packaged/SaaS Application Engineer, a typical day involves configuring and supporting packaged or software as a service application to tailor features according to evolving business requirements. The role includes managing software releases and ensuring the overall stability and performance of the systems. The engineer works with various tools, application programming interfaces, and low-code platforms to deliver solutions that align with organizational goals while maintaining compatibility across different environments. Collaboration with stakeholders to understand needs and adapt applications accordingly is a key part of daily activities, ensuring seamless operation and continuous improvement of the software offerings.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to optimize application configurations to enhance user experience and system efficiency.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and mentoring within the team to support professional growth and project success.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of application features with business objectives.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must Have Skills: Proficiency in Python (Programming Language).
- Experience with Spark/PySpark.
- Solid grounding in software design patterns.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, Docker, and artifact management.
- Strong understanding of data modelling, distributed processing, and resilient integration patterns.
- Comfortable mentoring others and contributing to engineering standards.
- Nice to have Infrastructure as Code experience.
- Nice to have API management / gateway experience.
- Nice to have Experience with platform modernization or cloud migrations.
- Familiarity with instrumentation and observability to monitor and improve system behaviour.
- Strong experience in configuring and customizing packaged or software as a service applications.
- Familiarity with using application programming interfaces and low-code platforms for solution development.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application performance and stability.
- Experience in managing software release cycles and version control.
- Good understanding of system integration and compatibility considerations.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Python (Programming Language).
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
