Operations Supervisor – Centre of Excellence
Purpose of Role:
The purpose of the Operations Supervisor at SPARK is to ensure the Center of Excellence space is kept clean
and professional at all times, that all facilities are well maintained and that all events and meetings are well
planned and executed in terms of catering and hospitality.
SPARK Center of Excellence
- Ensures staff interaction is spread out between departments for any support events.
- Oversee the setup of any hospitality requirements (ensure that meeting supplies and equipment are adequate in quantity and quality).
- Be available to assist with hospitality requirements during training and other important stakeholder meetings.
- Assist with the co-ordination of the requirements for training workshops.
- Overseeing hospitality and cleaning operations.
- Keeping inventory of consumables and goods and informs the Operations Support when supplies need to be ordered.
- Co-ordinate on an on-going basis with the Operations Support to ensure the office space, all meetings and any other office related activities are planned for and executed well.
Facilities Team - Log, track and follow up on facilities maintenance requests, ensuring issues are resolved timeously by service providers.
- Conduct regular walkthroughs of the CoE to proactively identify maintenance, cleanliness, safety or equipment issues before they escalate.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with cleaning, maintenance, security and facilities service providers, ensuring agreed service levels are consistently met.
- Support compliance with health and safety requirements across the CoE, including fire equipment, emergency exits, signage and first aid supplies.
- Oversee the condition and functionality of office furniture, appliances and equipment, logging faults and coordinating repairs or replacements.
- Maintain an accurate asset register for facilities-related equipment and consumables.
Requirements
Qualifications and experience:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Matric or working towards completing a matric qualification.
- 2-5 years' experience in office administration, hospitality, facilities or a similar operations environment is advantageous.
