Occupational Therapist (OT) Responsibilities

  • Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans based on functional goals and clinical needs
  • Provide occupational therapy services to improve independence with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions and adaptive strategies
  • Assess cognitive, physical, and functional abilities to maximize patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
  • Educate residents, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans, progress, and home exercise programs
  • Participate in care planning meetings and interdisciplinary conferences
  • Recommend adaptive equipment, durable medical equipment, and environmental modifications as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes

Qualifications

  • Current California Occupational Therapist (OT) License required
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
  • Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Post-Acute Care, Rehabilitation, Long-Term Care, or Acute Care settings preferred
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply
