Columbia Place Assisted Living & Memory Care is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented Medication Technician (Med Tech) to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about caring for seniors and wants to work in a supportive, resident-focused environment.

As a Medication Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the health, safety, and well-being of our residents by ensuring medications are administered accurately and on time while building meaningful relationships with the people we serve.

What You'll Do

  • Safely administer and document medications according to physician orders and community policies
  • Monitor residents for medication effectiveness, side effects, and changes in condition
  • Accurately obtain and document vital signs when required
  • Communicate resident concerns and medication-related issues to nursing leadership and healthcare providers
  • Assist residents with medication reminders and self-administration when appropriate
  • Maintain accurate medication records and documentation
  • Ensure medication carts, storage areas, and medication supplies are organized and compliant
  • Work closely with caregivers, nurses, physicians, pharmacies, residents, and families
  • Promote resident dignity, independence, and quality of life
  • Participate in ongoing training, education, and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, understand, and accurately document medical information
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience in Assisted Living, Memory Care, Long-Term Care, or healthcare preferred but not required

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the community during shifts
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to respond appropriately during emergency situations
