We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our product development team. The Product Development team in Helsinki consists of about 20 professionals but we are an international team working closely with, for example, product management and production. This is a full–time, hybrid role. We are looking forward to shaping the future with you. 

Grow with us – Your Responsibilities  

  • Design and develop the mechanics of single-use products and related instruments.
  • Design injection-moulded plastic components and transfer designs into production.
  • Develop new products from requirements definition through verification, production transfer, and product lifecycle management.
  • Create and maintain 3D models, drawings, and other technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with product management, production, quality, procurement, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Consider manufacturability, assembly, cost, quality, and usability when developing design solutions.
  • Maintain existing products, create design changes, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Participate in design reviews and risk management, as well as product testing and problem-solving when required.
  • Take responsibility for the mechanical design of projects and, over time, have the opportunity to act as project’s technical owner.

What will convince us 

  • A relevant technical degree, such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in designing injection-molded plastic components and transferring designs into production.
  • Several years of experience with at least one 3D design software.
  • Experience in technical documentation, drawing creation, and product data management.
  • The ability to understand the bigger picture and move design tasks forward in a systematic manner.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
  • Good communication skills in English; knowledge of Finnish is considered an advantage.
  • A willingness to learn and a genuine interest in developing your expertise.
  • Readiness to work according to the agreed hybrid working model and, when needed, from the office in collaboration with other team members.
  • Experience in product development within medical devices, biotechnology, or another regulated environment is considered an advantage.
