About this Materials Management Coordinator role at Rennscot MFG
Summary
Rennscot MFG is looking for a highly organized Materials Management Coordinator to help ensure the right materials are available at the right time. In this role, you'll support purchasing, inventory, supplier coordination, and production scheduling while working closely with teams across the organization to keep manufacturing running smoothly.
What You'll Do
Create and manage purchase orders and inventory transactions in ProShop ERP.
Monitor supplier deliveries and expedite materials when needed.
Track inventory levels, perform cycle counts, and help maintain inventory accuracy.
Coordinate material availability to support production schedules.
Work with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Accounting to resolve material issues.
Pick up materials, tooling, or components from local suppliers and outside processing vendors as needed.
Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and material flow.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and other supply chain projects.
Qualifications
High school diploma and at least 2 years of experience in materials coordination, purchasing, inventory management, shipping/receiving, or a related manufacturing support role.
Experience with an inventory management or ERP system is required.
Experience with daily Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) freight and small parcel shipping and receiving is required.
Prior experience safely operating a forklift is required.
Manufacturing or supply chain experience in a production environment preferred.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new business systems.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to operate a company vehicle for local supplier pickups and deliveries as needed.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in both an office and manufacturing environment.
Frequent walking throughout the production facility.
Occasional lifting of materials up to 50 pounds.
Ability to drive to local suppliers for pickups and deliveries.
Ability to wear required PPE while on the production floor.
