Job Responsibilities 

Organizes and monitors inventory, loads and unloads materials, documents orders and manifests. 

  • Assist with all shipping, receiving, and inventory organization efforts 

  • Help to efficiently carry out all product loading and unloading tasks 

  • Receive and process new inventory, ensuring contents match manifest documents 

  • Inspect receivables for defects, damages, or missing items 

  • Unload, stack, move, and place products in appropriately designated areas 

  • Move and transfer products between various sections of the warehouse as needed 

  • Use forklifts, pallet jacks, hand carts etc. to transfer and deliver goods 

  • Perform detailed manual inventory counts 

  • Label warehouse stock for quick and easy identification and retrieval 

  • Stack, shelve, and stage items for storage and shipment as necessary 

  • Fulfill and track outgoing orders 

  • Collect, prepare, package, and label goods for shipment 

  • Load and strap/band totes and/or drums in containers for overseas shipment 

  • Load and unload from dry vans, containers, and flatbeds 

  • Double-check items to verify accuracy of outgoing orders 

  • Operate floor sweeper 

  • Ensure tools and equipment are kept clean and in working order 

  • Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to upper management 

  • Follow all warehouse policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) 

  • Adhere to all health and safety rules and regulations 

  • Wear protective clothing and equipment as required 

  • Operate tools and machinery safely and efficiently according to company protocol 

  • Work with other warehouse team members to effectively complete assigned tasks 

  • Duties related to Hazardous Waste Management 

  • Assist with staging trailers, vans, or tankers in docks or loading areas as needed via yard mule 

  • Performs other duties as assigned 

 

Candidate Qualifications/ Requirements  

  • Previous experience with shipping/receiving hazardous materials preferred  

  • Familiar with hazardous material manifesting requirements 

  • Previous warehouse experience preferred 

  • Forklift certification and/or ability to successfully complete forklift training 

  • Yard mule experience and/or experience backing in trailers preferred 

  • Excellent verbal communicator 

  • Computer literate 

  • Familiar with common warehouse tools and equipment 

  • Thorough, alert, and detail-oriented 

  • Dependable and responsible 

  • Strong work ethic 

  • Comfortable working independently 

  • Makes safety a priority 

 

Physical & Work Requirement 

  • Must be able to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk or hear. 

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. 

  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 lbs. 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts 

  • High, precarious places 

  • Fumes or airborne particles 

  • Outside weather conditions 

  • Contribute to other projects and plans not specifically noted to reach divisional objectives
