Job Description

  

The Product Finisher / Marker is responsible for accurately marking, identifying, and finishing parts and assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, work instructions, and quality requirements. This position ensures products are properly identified and finished prior to shipment while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Mark parts and assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and customer requirements.

  • Perform part marking using methods such as laser marking, chemical etching, stamping, engraving, inks, dyes, and other approved processes.

  • Verify correct part identification, serial numbers, logos, customer markings, and traceability information.

  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, routers, and manufacturing instructions.

  • Maintain accurate production records, logs, and documentation.

  • Handle parts carefully to prevent damage during marking and finishing operations.

  • Follow all company quality procedures and manufacturing standards.

  • Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with 5S and workplace safety requirements.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and process improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 2+ years of manufacturing, production, or assembly experience preferred.

  • Experience performing part marking using laser marking, engraving, chemical etching, stamping, or similar identification methods preferred.

  • Experience working in a quality-controlled manufacturing environment.

  • Familiarity with serial number control, traceability requirements, and customer-specific marking requirements.

  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems and basic Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or discrepancies.

  • Demonstrated ability to follow standardized processes and maintain accurate records.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining quality and productivity standards.

  • Experience working in aerospace, defense, optics, precision machining, or electro-mechanical manufacturing environments preferred.

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles is a plus.

  • Ability to perform repetitive work while maintaining accuracy and consistency.

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

  • 1-3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Experience with marking equipment, engraving tools, chemical etching, or related manufacturing processes preferred.

  • Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds rarely.

  • Good visual acuity and hand-eye coordination.

  • Ability to perform repetitive motions involving hands and arms.

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing environment.

  • Exposure to machinery, marking equipment, chemicals, and production-related noise.

  • Required use of appropriate PPE
