As a key business partner, you will provide financial leadership and strategic insights to SoFi Plus, our membership subscription business. This role will also focus efforts on continued improvement within overall Finance processes, scalability, and automation.
What you’ll do:
Facilitate annual and quarterly financial forecasting for SoFi Plus in partnership with Business Unit (BU) leaders and in collaboration with stakeholders across marketing, product, risk and operations
Be a strategic partner to the Plus team to identify and monitor key performance indicators—including subscriber growth, attrition, retention, LTV, and contribution margin—and develop actionable insights
Build and maintain subscription cohort and unit economics models to evaluate lifetime value, payback periods, and the financial impact of pricing and benefit changes
Enable the Plus team to prioritize initiatives and make real-time decisions by evaluating and sizing impact to key growth and financial metrics
Prepare recommendations on incremental investment opportunities by weighing financial and strategic trade-offs
Collaborate effectively with the Accounting department on complex accounting issues, including subscription revenue recognition
Show up as a positive culture carrier aligned with our values, driving inclusiveness, belonging, and mentorship within and outside of Finance
What you’ll need:
8+ years of related experience, ideally in corporate finance, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), investment banking, investment management, or consulting
Prior experience with subscription modeling—including cohort analysis, LTV, recurring revenue forecasting, and unit economics—ideally supporting financial services or consumer subscription businesses
Experience preparing and presenting information to key decision makers
Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills with rigorous attention to detail
Expert financial modeling skills (complex formulas, effective lookups and the ability to build a financial model from scratch)
Expert Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, or Google Docs/Sheets/Slides
Experience with FP&A systems
Collaborative working style and demonstrated ability to build strong cross-functional relationships
Inquisitive nature, attention to detail, diligence, work ethic, a learning mindset, and a positive attitude
Willingness to embrace unstructured environments and problems, and manipulate large data sets
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent knowledge (CFA, FP&A experience, Investment analyst)
