About the Team:
The Revenue Operations team sits at the core of AlphaSense's go-to-market engine, partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Finance to ensure the business runs on trusted data and clear, actionable insight. Within RevOps, this role will work at the intersection of our Go-to-Market Intelligence and Business Analytics functions, helping unify how the organization measures, reports, and acts on commercial performance.
About the Role:
We are looking for a Manager, Special Projects to join our Revenue Operations organization, reporting to the Senior Director of Special Projects. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role for someone who wants to shape how the business measures itself. You'll build the pipelines, models, and dashboards that our go-to-market and business leaders rely on every day to make decisions, while bringing rigor, scalability, and a best-in-class mindset to how we handle commercial data. You'll also play a direct role in the mechanics of the revenue engine — headcount and capacity planning, compensation alignment, and rep productivity — so this role calls for someone as fluent in sales process and Salesforce as they are in data engineering and financial metrics. You'll have the opportunity to modernize legacy reporting processes and directly influence the analytics infrastructure supporting AlphaSense's next stage of growth.
What You'll Do:
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and support ETL processes that consolidate commercial data from multiple source systems into a single, trusted source of truth
- Develop, automate, and maintain reporting on core commercial metrics and KPIs (pipeline, bookings, retention, productivity, etc.) for Sales, Marketing, and Revenue leadership
- Drive the evolution of the RevOps analytics ecosystem by implementing scalable data pipelines, automation, and self-service reporting capabilities that improve business decision-making.
- Lead technical planning and execution for complex data platform initiatives, balancing business priorities with long-term platform scalability and maintainability.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve reporting efficiency, data accessibility, and operational decision-making across the revenue organization.
- Provide technical ownership of the Revenue Operations analytics platform by establishing best practices for data governance, metric standardization, reporting automation, and mentoring team members to support a scalable, high-performing analytics function.
- Support headcount and capacity planning, and partner with Sales Compensation to ensure comp plans, quotas, and territories are aligned with reporting and modeled accurately in downstream systems
- Analyze rep productivity and identify data-driven opportunities to improve seller performance, ramp, and efficiency, partnering with Sales leadership on the metrics and tools that support these efforts
- Build and maintain dashboards and self-service reporting tools that enable faster, more confident decision-making across the organization, including support for AI-powered reporting initiatives
- Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve data quality issues, establishing monitoring and validation processes that drive consistency and trust in reporting across the organization
- Partner across the Go-to-Market Intelligence and Business Analytics teams to translate business questions into scalable data models, migrating existing reporting artifacts into our data lake to drive stability and scale
Who You Are:
- 6-10+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, revenue/sales operations, or a related data-focused role, with hands-on experience building ETL pipelines and working with data warehouses/data lakes (e.g., 5tran, DBT, Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Databricks)
- Demonstrated experience owning analytics solutions that support Revenue Operations, including sales performance reporting, KPI frameworks, pipeline analytics, forecasting, and executive-level business insights.
- Strong SQL skills required; experience with Python or another scripting language, and with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI, Sigma), is a plus
- Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional analytics initiatives while influencing senior business stakeholders and driving strategic operational improvements.
- Experience providing technical direction for Revenue Operations analytics initiatives, establishing scalable data practices, standardized metrics, and reporting frameworks that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Strong experience translating business requirements into scalable data models, KPI frameworks, and executive dashboards that support revenue growth.
- Deep, hands-on knowledge of Salesforce and core sales processes (pipeline stages, forecasting, territory and quota management) that is as strong as your data engineering and financial metrics expertise
- Solid understanding of commercial/SaaS metrics and KPIs (pipeline, bookings, ARR, churn, rep productivity, etc.), including exposure to headcount/capacity planning and sales compensation structures
- A best-in-class mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to bring structure to large, ambiguous, data-driven challenges
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and GTM teams
