Overview
The Manager, Asia Pacific Fund Administration provides senior leadership with execution support on administration, reporting and control framework for Mastercard’s Asia Pacific Market Funds portfolio.
The role owns FundApp governance, fund administration, approval evidence, audit readiness and process standardisation across Asia Pacific. The role partners with Country Managers, DFOs, Country Finance, FP&A, Controllers, Legal, Regulatory, Services, GBSC Accounting and Business Owners to ensure fund activity complies with Fund Policies and Procedures, including approval requirements and control expectations.
Role
• Execute the Asia Pacific Fund Administration function and drive a consistent operating model across Asia Pacific markets.
• Ensure execution and adherence to the governance processes for fund approvals, committee operations, reporting, controls, evidence retention and escalation.
• Oversee FundApp data quality, including initiative setup, forecasts, flex codes, approvals, status updates and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate fund committee meetings, prepare materials, document decisions, track actions and maintain auditable records.
• Coordinate with regional and divisional stakeholders for updates on Fund collections and spending (planned and actual) for semi-annual Regional Steering Committee meetings.
• Validate that fund initiatives follow approved fund principles, governance standards and required approval steps
• Review financial and contract management processes and controls, supported by the Fund Owners.
• Validate the completed requests for approval as per Fund/Budget governance.
• Support SOX readiness, internal audit, external audit and control testing through complete, timely and traceable evidence.
• Partner with regional and global stakeholders to resolve process gaps, ownership issues, access limitations and reporting challenges.
• Develop practical procedures, templates, reporting routines and training materials for fund stakeholders.
About You
• You are a senior finance professional with a strong control mindset and experience operating in complex, multi-country environments.
• You can translate policy and governance requirements into practical operating routines that teams can execute consistently.
• You communicate clearly with senior stakeholders and can bring structure to ambiguous or fragmented processes.
• You take ownership, follow through on open issues and escalate risks early with evidence-based recommendations.
• You are comfortable working across Controllership, FP&A, Legal, Regulatory, Services, GBSC and Business teams.
Skills & Experience
• Strong experience in Finance Governance, Controllership, FP&A, Audit, Financial Operations.
• Experience leading process improvement, standardisation or operating model transformation across a matrix organisation.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, with the ability to prepare executive-ready reporting and governance materials.
• Experience with FundApp, SFDC, Workiva, SharePoint, Power BI or similar finance, workflow and reporting tools is preferred.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate multiple stakeholders and maintain high-quality documentation.
The Ideal Candidate Would Have
• University degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of compliance, finance, controllership, fund governance, audit, FP&A or financial operations experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Strong experience designing, operating or improving governance processes, financial controls and audit-ready documentation.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls concepts and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
• Proficiency with accounting, finance, workflow and reporting systems/software applications.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a strong sense of ownership, initiative and urgency.
• Self-starter with an ability to work independently, through ambiguity and complex issues with stakeholders in different countries and
• Demonstrated ability to challenge and improve processes while maintaining strong control standards.
• Demonstrated business acumen with the ability to provide solutions that support governance, transparency and positive business outcomes.
