Position Overview : 

People Services India is looking for a strong HR generalist to join the India People Services team as part of our specialized Services operation. Reporting to the Senior Manager, PS India this role will provide complex query and transactional support across a range of specialist HR services including Total Rewards, Employee Benefits, and Retirals with key focus on Employee Relations.

This role is pivotal in fostering a positive workplace culture, managing employee relations issues effectively, and supporting the administration and communication of total rewards programs including benefits, and recognition programs

This will be a fast-paced and highly varied role, so you’ll need to be able to comfortably switch gears to manage different tasks – whether that’s guiding a Manager through an Employee Relations process, working with CoE partners to research the answer to a complex policy query, coordinating new offerings with external vendors or exploring additional scope of work opportunities that the People Services can render to the business. As part of the wider People Services organization, you’ll be supporting managers, employees and HR colleagues across RTX Business units, so you’ll need to be able to flex your style to meet the needs of this diverse customer group.

The right candidate will have a broad range of HR generalist skills as well as being customer focused, pro-active, energetic and collaborative.

Responsibilities

  • Provide complex HR advisory and transactional support across all specialized Services
  • Act as  the first  point of contact for Managers who require HR advice and guidance, ensuring that great customer service is always delivered
  • Provide coaching/consulting/support and interpretation of Employee Relations (ER) policies, standards and procedures to Supervisors, Mangers, Leaders and HR Business Partners
  • Be a source of expertise on India HR policy, process and procedure
  • Provide consulting services to HRBPs on managing disciplinary matters and escalated cases. Provide strategic consultative services to various internal stakeholders on specific change management and culture-related issues
  • Manage and track ER cases on Service Now platform from initiation to resolution. Advise relevant stakeholders of the progress, closures and on associated risks
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of ER/HR policies, standards, procedures and guidelines in accordance with company standards and in ensuring relevance to local culture, Labour laws, and practices
  • Engaging HRBPs, employees and line management in awareness and training programs of employee relations matters including POSH
  • Support Total Rewards programs including benefits administration, vendor coordination, and employee communications.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to conduct suitable workshops/sessions/interventions/Awareness on all Employee Benefits.
  • Foster, develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, CoEs, vendors, and BU HR partners to expedite effective query resolution and ensure knowledge is kept up to date
  • Monitor key SLA metrics and ensure service delivery meets or exceeds target
  • Understand and be compliant with the corporate data protection and confidentiality policies.

Requirements

  • Strong HR generalist skills and relevant experience in a line HR role or COE with a focus on employee relations and exposure to Total Rewards/Employee benefits programs.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of employee grievance resolution, investigative methods, organization HR policy and practices
  • Ability to carefully listen, probe and analyze data accompanied with sound judgment that meets organization and employee objectives
  • Ability to assess risk (esp. legal exposure) in employee issues and gain appropriate support/action
  • Experience in handling matters related to Total Rewards, Employee Relations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in teams within deadlines.
  • Wide-ranging understanding of current HR policy and process and able to provide advice and guidance on complex issues including employee relations related issues.
  • Good understanding of local legal & regulatory requirements required for specialized services.
  • Personable with strong communication and relationship building capabilities across all levels of the business
  • Practical and logical; able to solve problems quickly , Good leadership skills and excellent stake holder management
  • Highly organized with strong administrative skills and Ability to operate independently on own initiative

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years as an HR Generalist or in CoE
  • Strong project management skills and able to demonstrate experience of managing complex HR projects through a complete project life-cycle
  • Significant strategic HR Business Partnering experience, including managing complex business change
  • Self-starter with a drive to make things happen at pace
  • Strong emotional intelligence, listening, influencing and coaching skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality

Education Required:

Master’s Degree in any stream from a recognized university
