Maintenance Supervisor

Primary responsibilities for the Maintenance Supervisor:

  • Provide Maintenance employees with guidance, direction, and supervision in support of departmental operations.
  • Promptly address performance issues.
  • Actively promote all company policies and expectations, especially in support of safety plans and results.
  • Plan, schedule and execute maintenance operations within assigned area of responsibility.
  • Maintain a positive work environment by regularly communicating with employees on the shop floor and responding to employee issues and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Maintain well-organized and productive work areas.
  • Work with others to achieve department and company goals and objectives.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

Required for the Maintenance Supervisor:

  • High School Diploma required. Two-year college degree preferred.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing/operational environment preferred.

Preferred for the Maintenance Supervisor:

  • Prior experience troubleshooting industrial automation (instruments, electrical drives and PLCs preferred.
  • Practical understanding of industrial/maintenance principles, standards, methods and practices.
  • Knowledge of disciplined problem-solving methods.
  • Flexibility in terms of shift assignments and/or rotations, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work extensive hours in support of continuous operations.
  • Working knowledge of (MS Office, Outlook, Work and Excel).      
  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, problem solving skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment.
  • Ability to work in an industrial environment.
  • Ability to work with associates at various levels of management..
