SHIFT

ALA – Weekend Shift 2 (United States of America - Alabama)

Schedule: Friday–Sunday | 5:00 PM–5:30 AM
Starting Pay: $18.00/hour

Additional Pay: 11% Weekend Shift Premium plus $8 per hour Shift Differential


A BRIEF OVERVIEW


As a Machine Operator, you will support the manufacturing of precision medical device components by operating multi-axis CNC equipment and related production machinery. You will be responsible for running multiple machines simultaneously, monitoring machine performance, performing quality inspections, and ensuring parts meet customer and regulatory specifications.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with advanced manufacturing technology, maintaining high quality standards, and being part of a team committed to continuous improvement.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Performs basic machining functions to produce parts.
  • Operates multiple machines simultaneously.
  • Monitors the machine to ensure proper program performance.
  • Completes shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets.
  • Makes off sets and adjustments to machines with moderate supervision.
  • Set up jobs and operate conventional, special-purpose and computerized numerical control (CNC) machines to fabricate metallic parts
  • Select, align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machines, such as mills, lathes, grinders and tooling pre-setter.
  • Load programs into CNC machine and execute program to accurately machine parts to meet customer specifications.
  • Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and make off sets and adjustments to machines with moderate supervision.
  • Grinding/Buffing of parts.
  • Checking parts on CMM.
  • Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.


EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Or Equivalent (Preferred)


EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Lean Manufacturing Experience (Preferred)
  • Experience in Medical Device Manufacturing (Preferred)
  • 1+ Years of Experience Operating Machining Equipment in a Manufacturing Environment (Preferred)


LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Machining Trade School (Preferred)
