A Leasing Manager trains and oversees the onsite leasing functions and directs the sales efforts of an apartment community. The Leasing Manager is responsible for providing exceptional service to community residents, future residents, vendors, and the corporate management team. The Leasing Manager also takes an active role in the external marketing and advertising of vacancies.

About the Opportunity

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking expressions of interest from experienced Lease Management professionals to join our talent pool for current and future opportunities across our Whole of Australian Government (WoAG) portfolio.

This opportunity is open to candidates located anywhere in Australia. Australian citizenship is mandatory, and the successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) security clearance. Candidates who already hold an active security clearance are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Lease Administration & Reporting

  • Prepare and complete Work in Progress (WIP) and Debtors reports, including commentary and analysis.

  • Maintain accurate lease and property data across relevant systems and databases.

  • Complete new site checklists for back-office teams.

  • Review, approve and action escalations relating to non-recurring invoices through Wisetrend.

  • Review and approve lease obligation summaries and distribute to relevant stakeholders.

  • Review and approve annual CPI and fixed rent increases.

  • Liaise closely with the Transaction Management team to ensure lease abstracts, amendments, correspondence and property records remain accurate and up to date.

Compliance & Invoice Management

  • Conduct quality reviews of compliance and insurance certifications.

  • Review expenditure rent rolls and prepare variance reporting.

  • Approve workflows relating to recurring and non-recurring payments, as well as lease terminations.

  • Investigate and resolve payment exceptions, communicating outcomes to landlords and agents.

Revenue Tenant Management

  • Review revenue rent rolls and provide variance reporting.

  • Manage revenue recharges, identify discrepancies and approve workflows.

  • Prepare outgoing recharge schedules for new tenants.

  • Follow up outstanding tenant payments and approve associated workflows.

  • Review year-end reconciliation documentation and engage with auditors as required.

Transaction Management

  • Manage site renewals, including liaising with leasing stakeholders, instructing solicitors and coordinating lease execution.

  • Manage exercise of option processes from instruction through to execution.

  • Coordinate documentation and lease execution for new revenue tenants.

  • Manage lease surrender processes, including negotiations, documentation and solicitor engagement.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience working with property or lease management databases and reporting systems.

  • Strong knowledge of commercial property, lease administration and property management practices.

  • Proven experience managing lease documentation and administration processes.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and customer service skills.

  • Ability to interpret and act on client instructions while achieving positive commercial outcomes.

  • High attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to both local and geographically dispersed teams.

  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage multiple competing deadlines.
