Position Summary

As a Laundry Aide, you will play a key role in ensuring residents have clean clothing, linens, and bedding while helping maintain a comfortable, sanitary environment throughout the facility. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality service directly contribute to resident comfort and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect resident laundry and facility linens daily or as needed
  • Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize clothing and linens
  • Deliver clean laundry to resident rooms and designated areas
  • Label resident clothing items as needed
  • Maintain an adequate supply of clean linens for resident care
  • Inspect linens and clothing for damage and remove items that are stained or no longer serviceable
  • Follow all infection control, sanitation, and laundry procedures
  • Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently
  • Maintain laundry supplies and notify supervisors when replenishment is needed
  • Keep laundry areas clean, organized, and sanitary
  • Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance concerns promptly
  • Provide courteous and respectful service to residents and staff

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous laundry, housekeeping, or environmental services experience preferred
  • Healthcare or long-term care experience is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Positive, reliable, and customer-service-focused attitude
