About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Labor Transportation Manager to lead the end-to-end employee transportation operation across multiple company locations.
The role will oversee transportation services for 2,000–3,000 employees, ensuring safe, reliable, efficient, and cost-effective transportation aligned with business and workforce requirements. The role will also be responsible for transportation planning, route optimization, supplier management, service quality, and cost control across all locations and shifts.Job Responisbilities :
- Lead and manage the end-to-end employee transportation operation across multiple locations and shifts.
- Develop transportation plans based on workforce size, employee locations, shift patterns, and operational requirements.
- Manage transportation services for 2,000–3,000 employees, ensuring adequate capacity and reliable coverage.
- Plan and optimize routes, pickup points, schedules, and vehicle allocation to maximize efficiency and service quality.
- Source, evaluate, onboard, and manage transportation suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate commercial terms, rates, contracts, and service agreements with transportation providers.
- Establish clear SLAs, KPIs, and performance standards for all transportation suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with agreed service levels, taking corrective action when required.
- Track and analyze key transportation metrics including on-time performance, trip completion, vehicle utilization, coverage, complaints, and cost per trip/employee.
- Identify and implement opportunities for route optimization, capacity improvement, operational efficiency, and cost reduction.
- Develop and manage the transportation budget, ensuring effective cost control and resource utilization.
- Partner closely with Operations, HR, Finance, Facilities, and other stakeholders to ensure transportation plans support business needs.
- Manage transportation incidents, service disruptions, employee complaints, and emergency transportation requirements.
- Ensure all transportation providers comply with company policies, safety standards, legal requirements, and contractual obligations.
- Develop contingency and business continuity plans to minimize the impact of transportation disruptions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service reliability, operational efficiency, employee experience, and cost effectiveness.
- Lead, coach, and develop the transportation team, ensuring clear accountability and strong operational execution.
Requirements :
- 5+ years of experience in Employee Transportation, Transportation, Fleet, Logistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience managing large-scale employee transportation operations across multiple locations.
- Experience managing transportation services for a large workforce, preferably 2,000+ employees.
- Strong experience in vendor sourcing, supplier management, negotiation, and contract management.
- Strong knowledge of route planning, transportation operations, capacity planning, and fleet utilization.
- Proven experience in budget management and transportation cost optimization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.
