The role

We are seeking a motivated Lab Technician to join our team for a key hydropower project based in Swat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The role will involve conducting laboratory and field testing of construction materials and supporting the project team in maintaining quality standards and compliance with project specifications.

  • Conduct laboratory and field tests on concrete, aggregates, soil, and other construction materials.
  • Collect, prepare, label, and test material samples in accordance with approved procedures and standards.
  • Monitor and record test results and prepare laboratory reports and quality documentation.
  • Assist QA/QC engineers in verifying the quality and compliance of construction materials.
  • Conduct field testing and support site inspections as required.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory testing equipment and report any issues.
  • Assist in identifying and reporting material test failures or non-conformances.

You will bring proven experience in a similar consultancy role, along with a strong ability to build trusted relationships, drive positive change and secure new opportunities.

Suitable applicants will have/be:

  • Diploma, B.Sc. in Civil Engineering, or relevant technical qualification.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in construction materials testing or laboratory work.
  • Experience in hydropower, dams, infrastructure, or major civil construction projects is highly desirable.
  • Good knowledge of testing methods for concrete, aggregates, and soil.
  • Familiarity with relevant testing standards and QA/QC requirements.
  • Good communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
