We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Contract Analyst to join our Contracting & Procurement team. This role is responsible for providing both pre-contract and post-contract support across the business, ensuring the efficient procurement of goods and services while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to support the full contract lifecycle, from sourcing and tendering through to contract administration and performance management.

Key responsibilities

  • Support internal stakeholders throughout all stages of the contracting and procurement process.
  • Manage end-to-end contracting and procurement activities for assigned goods and services.
  • Act as the primary contracting focal point for designated Contract Representatives and Contract Owners.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of Contracting Activity Plans.
  • Manage the Requisition-to-Pay process within SAP for assigned commodity groups, including RFQ execution and Purchase Order placement.
  • Support the development and implementation of contracting and sourcing strategies that deliver value throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Provide first-line contractual advice and negotiation support to Contract Representatives and Contract Owners.
  • Promote best practices in contract management and procurement activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the achievement of contracting process KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with Assala Gabon's Contracting & Procurement procedures and governance requirements.
  • Coordinate and plan contracting activities across all procurement phases.
  • Prepare Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Quotation (RFQ), Invitations to Tender (ITT), tender evaluations, and clarification documentation.
  • Support and participate in supplier negotiations and commercial discussions.
  • Assist with contract award recommendations and approval processes.
  • Provide support throughout the contract management phase, including:
    • Drafting contractual correspondence
    • Managing contract variations and amendments
    • Supporting the resolution of contractual issues
    • Conducting business and contract performance reviews
    • Preparing MCC submissions and following up on recommendations
  • Maintain accurate contract records and data within SAP, Gatekeeper, and other contract management systems.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in contracting, procurement, or contract administration within an Exploration & Production (E&P) environment
  • Bachelor's degree in a business or technical discipline.
  • Good understanding of contract management and procurement processes
  • Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills
  • Effective negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • High ethical standards, professional integrity, and sound judgement.
  • Proficiency in SAP.
