We're looking for an IT Intern to join us for a 3-month paid internship, supporting the day-to-day technology needs of our workplace. Working closely with our IT Admin, you'll gain hands-on experience across helpdesk operations, device and asset management, systems support, and event and AV setup.
Responsibilities
As an IT Intern, you will:
- Provide first-line helpdesk support, responding to L1 tickets and troubleshooting common hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including account setup and deactivation, equipment deployment, and collection.
- Maintain the IT asset inventory and assist with device imaging, configuration, deployment, cabling, and equipment lifecycle management.
- Support routine system maintenance and administer workplace technology, including Google Meet hardware, printers, TVs, and Yodeck devices.
- Set up and support AV and hybrid conferencing equipment for meetings, presentations, Monday Talks, and company or community events.
- Coordinate event-related IT logistics with relevant teams, including room readiness, AV requirements, guest connectivity, and recording handoffs.
- Contribute to IT projects and operational initiatives, including the JumpCloud MDM deployment and the preparation of retired equipment for donation.
Requirements
To be successful in this role as an IT Intern, you should have:
- Have a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant knowledge and skills.
- Have a basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and common software applications.
- Have basic knowledge of networking concepts, including Wi-Fi, VPNs, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Be comfortable troubleshooting common hardware and software issues and eager to develop your technical skills.
- Have a hands-on, problem-solving mindset, with curiosity and a willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
- Have strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills in English, with a helpful and service-oriented approach.
