Leidos is seeking a detail-oriented Industrial Security Specialist to work Mid-Shift (2pm-10pm) at our Colorado Springs location. This position is responsible for implementing and managing industrial security programs to protect classified information, personnel, and facilities. Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of classified programs, ensuring compliance with federal security regulations, company policies, and customer requirements. This role provides subject matter expertise across multiple security disciplines—including personnel, physical, and information security—to enable uninterrupted mission execution while mitigating risk.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain compliance with DISS, NISS, NBIS, government systems of record.
  • Conduct security briefings, indoctrinations, debriefings, and foreign travel briefings.
  • Manage facility access controls, badge issuance, visitor requests, and escorting visitors.
  • Material Inventory & Logging: Govern the complete chain of custody for all inbound and outbound classified materials, media, and technical documents, ensuring immediate entry into the master security database.
  • Prepare, wrap, receipt, and securely dispatch classified transmittals using approved government and internal courier channels.
  • Assist the FSO in conducting initial inquiries into security violations, author comprehensive reports, and implement corrective actions.

Information & Program Security

  • Protect classified information and equipment in accordance with NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117), and DoD contractual requirements.
  • Maintain security documentation, SOPs, and authorization packages.
  • Deliver security training and awareness programs.

Operations & Compliance

  • Conduct self-inspections, support government assessments, and respond to security incidents.
  • Provide security guidance to leadership, technical teams, and customers.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant industrial security experience; additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Must have an active Secret clearance.
  • Experience as an FSO, AFSO, CPSO, or similar industrial security professional.
  • Knowledge of NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117), DoDM 5200.01 volumes, and personnel security systems (DISS, NISS, NBIS, etc.).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to work Mid-Shift, 2pm-10pm, M-F.
  • Physical work location - Colorado Springs, Colorado

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • DCSA FSO certification.
  • COMSEC Custodian/Manager experience.
  • OPSEC planning experience.
  • Knowledge of access control and intrusion detection systems.
  • Security incident investigation experience.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $65,650.00 - $118,675.00
