Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Industrial Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus

Reporting to the Operations Engineering Manager the Industrial Engineer role involves proactive individual with excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to foster collaboration between teams, solve operational challenges, and drive the successful implementation of new processes with a focus on result

What a typical day looks like:

• Leads projects with multidisciplinary teams to implement improvements related to storage capacity, operational flow, or automation
• Work measurement programs and examine work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.
• Examines staff utilization, facility layout, and operational data, such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to define efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
• Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities, such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing work flow, relocation work stations and equipment, and purchase of equipment.
• Confers with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations.
• May develop management systems for cost reviews, financial planning, wage and salary administration, and job evaluation.
• Develops management control systems to aid in financial planning and cost reviews, and design production planning and control systems to coordinate activities and ensure product quality.
• Designs or improve systems for the physical distribution of goods and services, as well as defining the most efficient plant locations.
• Manages and supports initiatives to increase throughput, reduce cost and improve performance in constrained areas like Lean, Automation and/or Six Sigma projects.

 The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor´s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electronics, mechatronics or related
• Advanced English.
• Previous warehouse experience as a continuous improvement engineer using project management methodologies.
• Previous experience as product engineer
• Focused on improvement projects within the warehouse, optimizing storage, civil works, etc.
• Solid knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.
• Availability to travel.
• Valid visa and passport would be a plus.
• Proactive.
• Leadership skills.
• Supplier management experience.
• Intermediate- Advanced Excel
• Schedule availability
• Demonstrate operations and technical skills and understanding of Flex's functional standards. Demonstrates working knowledge of functional concepts and a solid understanding of Flex policies and procedures. Typically requires some knowledge of computerized electronic test equipment and programming.
