About this Recruitment Business Development Executive role at Remote Recruitment
Job Overview
We are seeking a pure hunter-style Business Developer to open new client accounts, develop new territories and generate new recruitment opportunities.
This is not a traditional 360 recruitment role. The primary focus will be on business development, cold outreach, winning new clients and securing qualified job briefs.
Some candidate resourcing responsibilities may be introduced at a later stage, but the immediate priority is generating new business.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and approach prospective clients across the UK engineering and manufacturing sectors.
- Conduct high volumes of telephone-based business-development activity.
- Open new client accounts and develop new geographical or sector-based territories.
- Engage hiring managers and senior decision-makers.
- Qualify prospective clients and recruitment requirements.
- Secure detailed and workable job briefs.
- Build relationships with new prospects from the first cold contact.
- Maintain consistent follow-up activity across telephone, email and LinkedIn.
- Develop a pipeline of prospective and active clients.
- Use market-mapping and lead-generation tools to identify target organisations.
- Record business-development activity and maintain accurate CRM information.
- Work towards revenue, client-acquisition and job-generation targets.
- Assist with candidate resourcing later, depending on business requirements.

- Hungry, ambitious and strongly motivated by financial success.
- Tenacious and comfortable working in a highly proactive sales environment.
- Confident making cold calls and dealing with rejection.
- Naturally phone-first in their approach to business development.
- Able to build a recruitment desk or target market from the ground up.
- Skilled at opening new accounts and converting cold prospects into clients.
- Confident qualifying job briefs and identifying genuine hiring requirements.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently from home.
- Comfortable working UK business hours.
