About the team

The Group Financial Planning and Operations Team supports development of Diageo’s multi-year strategic plan and leads the annual financial planning process. It leads holistic performance management by proactively delivering quality insights and analysis that support decisions to enable delivery of Diageo’s annual targets (Financial, Market Share and ESG) and external commitments. 

About you

The purpose of this role is to support and further improve the end-to-end Group performance management processes across core P&L analytics, external performance insights (industry and shipments/depletions dynamics) and SIT reporting. The role delivers modelling, reporting, and insight generation that strengthen decision support for senior leadership while improving the consistency and effectiveness of the Group performance cycle. 

About the role

  • Recognized Subject Matter Expert (Understanding the end-to-end Stock-in-Trade process and how different markets perform similar activities, variations in terminology and business practice. Advising stakeholders on reporting implications and exceptions. Providing guidance on complex reporting matters.) 

  • Supporting system development initiatives. Performing system testing and validation. 

  • Independent assessment and resolution of exceptions. Accountability for reporting quality, consistency, and continuous improvement across the organization. 

  • Coordinate with Regional FP&A teams to consolidate inputs, validate key performance drivers, and ensure alignment of insights and narratives across Group performance reviews. 

  • Deliver targeted analytics and performance deep dives—including shipment, depletions, and stock-in-trade (SIT) analysis—and integrate outputs with broader performance insights to strengthen decision support. 

What you'll bring

  • Degree educated in relevant finance / accounting/ business.  

  • 6+ years of experience in Finance, including experience in FP&A / Performance management. 

  • Very strong understanding of financial processes and systems. 

  • Excellent financial modelling (Excel) skills, including complex spreadsheet models. 

  • Stakeholder management and ability to influence- and form relationships with teams across business divisions and markets.  

  • Strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills. 

  • Ability to effectively target and tailor messages and medium to various audience groups to achieve intended outcomes. 

  • Deliver to a high service level to ensure that the systems are working as intended. 

  • Experience in a global/complex environment.
