About the role:
Merredin is the largest regional centre in the eastern Wheatbelt. Our office in Merredin is located a short walk from the railway station and close to the town centre which boasts a good selection of cafes and restaurants. When the work day is done, explore some of the many nearby national parks including the Avon Valley National Park, Walyunga National Park and the John Forrest National Park.
Our Merredin office is eager to bring on a graduate in 2027 - work with local experts in the field and launch your career in Accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of year end financial statements for various companies and trusts ranging from those listed on the ASX to small family owned businesses;
- Compliance with regulatory standards and preparing reports in line with the Australian accounting and auditing standards;
- Preparation of income tax returns, FBT returns, GST returns, BAS; and
- Superannuation Fund creation, Superannuation Fund compliance and Superannuation wealth creation and pension strategies.
About you:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Essential
- Business / Commerce degree with Accounting Major
- Prior completion of studies or scheduled to complete tertiary studies by December 2026
DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES:
Essential
- Strong Communication Skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
