About the role: What's in the Box

We are looking for an experienced Director, People Technology to lead HelloFresh's People Technology function globally. This role owns the strategy, operating model, and end-to-end delivery of our People technology landscape, with Workday as the core platform. Your scope spans functional development, integrations, programme delivery, and business-critical workforce technology including Time Tracking, Absence, and time clocking devices across our distribution centres.

This role carries a clear AI mandate: you will define how People Technology uses AI to improve productivity, service quality, and decision-making, while governing and deploying AI-enabled solutions for People function customers at scale. You will partner closely with People, Technology, and Operations leaders to translate business needs into an executable technology roadmap, balancing transformation, platform health, operational reliability, and user experience.

What you’ll do: The Recipe

• Strategy and roadmap: Own the People Technology strategy, roadmap and operating model across Operations, Functional Development, Integrations and Programme Management, aligned to People, Technology and Operations priorities.
• Platform performance: Ensure Workday and related platforms are stable, scalable and fit for purpose, including business-critical workforce processes such as Time Tracking, Absence and Time Clocking across distribution centres.
• Operational technology delivery: Partner with Operations stakeholders to ensure workforce technology supports reliable execution in frontline and distribution-centre environments.
• AI strategy and governance: Define and drive the People Technology AI strategy, establishing appropriate governance across risk, data protection, adoption and measurement, while partnering with People leaders to deliver responsible, scalable AI-enabled solutions.
• Delivery prioritisation: Set priorities for major initiatives, balancing transformation ambition, operational risk and platform health, serving as the senior escalation point for complex delivery or system-risk issues.
• Senior stakeholder partnership: Partner with Technology leadership on architecture, security and integrations; represent People Technology in senior leadership forums and cross-functional decision-making.

What you’ll bring: The Ingredients

• People Technology leadership: Significant experience in People Technology, HR systems or enterprise SaaS leadership, with deep familiarity with Workday-centric landscapes across implementation, optimisation and operational support.
• Multi-disciplinary team leadership: Proven experience leading teams across operations, delivery, integrations and specialist domains in global, complex organisations with senior cross-functional stakeholders.
• Frontline environment experience: Experience supporting technology used in operational or distribution-centre environments where reliability and execution quality are critical.
• AI and automation deployment: Practical experience identifying and deploying AI or automation opportunities in an enterprise function, including responsible adoption governance across risk, data, change management and measurable business value.
• Strategic translation: Ability to convert People, Technology and Operations priorities into clear, executable plans, balancing transformation ambition with operational reliability.
