In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.
 

Key responsibilities

  • Complete pre-course reading and online training for mapping as outlined in the training guide within designated time.

  •  Attend didactic training and online course work and complete exams as required.

  •  Achieve EP 3D mapping certification by undertaking and completing a thorough in-house training program to allow you to support 3D mapping cases independently.

  •  Operate the EnSiteX 3D Mapping system independently during ablation procedures across your assigned region ranging from simple to complex arrhythmias.

  •  Be able to work independently as a mapper and ability to trouble shoot any issues as they arise.

  •  Work to achieve sign off to C mapper level as per timelines outlined and continue training to minimum B mapper and where appropriate to A mapper.

  •  Have a solid understanding of recording system (Claris) and be able to provide trouble shooting support to hospital technician, and where required be able to run recording system independently.

  • Develop a clear understanding of Power BI and Gem data entry. 

  • Undertake sales skills training and engage with Territory Managers to understand the key objectives designed to drive business growth.

  • Develop relationships with KOL’s and Cardiac catheter Lab staff.

  • Conduct education/training to hospital staff.

  • Identify customer needs and communicate these to appropriate Territory Manager.

  • Maintain and update product knowledge including actively participating in internal and external training sessions.

  • Assisting colleagues with their mapping development, including supervision of new trainees or colleagues seeking to increase their mapping skills.

  • Assist with product marketing and launches.

  • Provide market feedback on product and competitor activity.

  • Comply with customer service and other administrative requirements within the required timeframe.

  • Ensure maintenance of company property/assets.
     

Qualifications and Experience Essential

  • Tertiary qualifications in Biomedical Science, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Science, Human Movement or related field (Coronary Care Nursing/Cardiac Technician) essential.

Desirable

  • Prior Electrophysiology experience

  • Cardiac training and working knowledge of ECG’s and cardiac monitoring
