JOB DESCRIPTION:

What You’ll Do

As a Field Technical Engineer, you will provide hands‑on technical and clinical support to customers using Abbott’s EP solutions. You will collaborate closely with hospitals and internal teams to ensure safe, effective, and high‑quality procedures.

  • Provide on‑site technical support to physicians and nurses during EP procedures in cath lab environments

  • Prepare, set up, and support Abbott systems and disposable products before and during procedures

  • Act as the technical expert in the room, providing troubleshooting support and ensuring optimal system performance

  • Build strong, professional relationships with hospital staff through reliability, adaptability, and a solution‑oriented approach

  • Support system installations, product launches, and customer training in collaboration with Sales and Clinical teams

  • Maintain accurate documentation of visits, cases, and customer information in Abbott systems

  • Continuously develop technical and clinical expertise through Abbott’s structured training programs

  • Travel extensively across Norway, with occasional support to the wider Nordic region as needed

What You’ll Bring

  • Technical, biomedical, engineering, or clinical background, or equivalent hands‑on experience

  • Strong interest in medical technology and working in a clinical, patient‑focused environment

  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively within Norway and occasionally across the Nordics

  • Based in Norway, or willing to relocate

  • Ability to work independently in the field while collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams

  • Good communication skills in English (spoken and written); Norwegian is required

  • Curiosity, learning agility, and motivation to develop expertise in Electrophysiology (previous EP experience is an advantage but not required)

  • A structured, quality‑focused mindset and comfort working in regulated environments
